Heritage Week events 2026 – Discover the secrets of Salmon Smoking
Join us for this free event at the Burren Smokehouse and the “Taste the Atlantic – Salmon Experience”!
Discover the traditional way of how we smoke our Irish organic salmon. Learn about the ancient smoking methods which haven’t changed to this day. We will show you the smoke box and kiln, and you can run your hands through the materials we use for the smoking. A short video will show you our production process, and afterwards you will enjoy a tasting of different marinated salmon varieties.
After the presentation, you will have the opportunity to follow the King of Fish through history in the “Taste the Atlantic – Salmon Experience” next door.
This is a free event.
