The famous Instagram influencers GastroGays made it to Lisdoonvarna and the Burren Smokehouse to explore the culinary and natural richness of the area.
Birgitta spent a couple of days with Patrick and Russell to show them around and show off all the aspects of our Burren Experiences. In our visitor centre, they learnt about the family and business history, and how we uniquely smoke our salmon. They even got to go behind the scenes when they witnessed the smoking process up close.
But that was not all. Patrick and Russell also visited the Burren Brewery (and tasted the craft beers) as well as the Roadside Tavern, and they ate at the Burren Storehouse.
Two other things on their bucket list added to the fun: The new interactive “Taste the Atlantic – The Salmon Experience” where they tested their newly acquired knowledge rated high on their list of things to do. And at the end, the highlight of their visit: a Champagne-laced Burren picnic on the limestone at the sea which they enjoyed immensely – all the more because the weather played nice.
